Mock IPL bidding


​Description :



​We re-create the splendid setting of IPL Bidding this time with new players and even challenging rules. With that little edge in Cric-IQ over others, you get to compete in a stage with hand-picked equally able opponents and create your own fantasy team. Beware! The mallet strikes at the highest price. So bid wisely, for it is the best team that wins.



A standard entry fee of of Rs 50 will be charged for participation in this event on a per team basis.​( 2 per team)

Rules :


1. A franchise will be allocated to each team by the organizers randomly.
2. Each team is allowed to spend a maximum amount of Rs.3600 Lakhs.
3. The bidding amount starts from the BASE PRICE mentioned. The team that raises the baton firs
t

    starts the bidding for that player.

4. Only first two teams raising the baton can bid for a player. Another team can enter the bidding

    only if one of the two teams withdraws from bidding
5. If either of the two Teams that have started to bid for the player remains inactive for a brief

    period (say 10 seconds), they are considered to have withdrawn from bidding for that player.

    However the teams can re-enter the bidding at some later time (Rule 4 must be followed). 
6. Each time the baton is raised the bidding amount increases as follows

    From   10 lakhs to 100 lakhs – in steps of 10 lakhs
    From 100 lakhs to 400 lakhs – in steps of 25 lakhs
    From 400 lakhs to 800 lakhs – in steps of 50 lakhs
7. If the bidding value reaches 800 Lakhs and if more than two or more teams are interested in

    the player then SECRET BIDDING will commence.
8. SECRET BIDDING: The teams which enter secret bidding have to write the amount they would

    like to offer for that player in a sheet and give it to the presenter. The player will be sold to the

    team which quotes the maximum amount.
9. No argument will be entertained regarding the weightage points given to each player.



Team Composition :


1) 11 players must be bought. 
2) There must be 7 Indian cricketers and 4 foreigners in it.
3) A maximum of 5 batsmen and minimum of 4 can be bought .Among the batsmen bought at

    least 3 should have minimum of 75 batting points. Among the batsmen bought 3 should be

    Indians.
4) A maximum of 2 All-rounder’s can be bought with one all-rounder having more than 60 batting

    points and 60 bowling points.(irrespective of an Indian or foreigner)
5) One wicket-keeper should be bought by the team as mandatory and it can be either an Indian

    or a foreigner.
6) A maximum of 4 bowlers and a minimum of 3 can be bought. Among the bowlers bought at

    least 3 should have bowling points of 75 and above. Among the bowlers bought 2 should be

    Indians.
7) After completing the auction, all the teams should present their respective XI’s.


**Winner will be selected based on the players bought and their respective points. Apart from the

    points scored, the balance of the team in all departments (batting, bowling and fielding) will

    also be taken into consideration.
***A WEIGHTAGE will be given to the remaining amount that each team has left unused .
